DEVELOPMENT AND MONITORING OF THE DAIRY PRODUCTION CHAIN

The GranTerre Group is strongly committed to developing and enhancing its unique dairy supply chain, a valuable heritage that ensures product quality for consumers while supporting the economic and social vitality of its regions of origin.

Caseifici GranTerre is Italy’s largest company in the PDO cheese sector. It was established in 2021 through the integration of the two leading brands Parmareggio and Agriform, respectively from Emilia-Romagna and Veneto, bringing together excellence in the production of Parmigiano Reggiano PDO and Grana Padano PDO.

Today, the cooperative dairy supply chain of Caseifici GranTerre includes some of the most important dairies in Emilia-Romagna and Veneto, as well as more than 2,000 farms belonging to Consorzio GranTerre S.c.a. and Agriform S.c.a.

While the Parmigiano Reggiano and Grana Padano supply chains have their own distinctive characteristics, they share the same vision and mission:

To maximise the value created by our members while ensuring the highest product quality, respecting both the regions of origin and the people who contribute throughout the value chain.

Being part of a cooperative supply chain represents a significant advantage, generating both economic and social value. A relationship built on trust, collaboration, and shared goals connects every link in the chain — from farms and dairies to production facilities.

The history of GranTerre’s supply chain, one of the most significant examples of agricultural cooperation in Italy, demonstrates how cooperation can strengthen individual businesses while creating greater opportunities and resources for all participants. Relationships throughout the supply chain are based on mutual growth and collaboration, with a shared objective: maximising the value of members’ contributions while consistently delivering products of the highest quality to consumers.
